Diwali celebrations have begun in a grand way at Little India in Singapore. The Little India Shopkeepers and Heritage Association (LiSHA) has started the 2026 Diwali light-up, turning the streets of the area into a colourful and bright festive space. The roads and buildings across Little India have been decorated with beautiful lights and colourful displays. The bright decorations create a spectacular view at night, attracting residents, visitors and tourists to the area. As part of the celebrations, LiSHA is also organising various programmes and activities throughout the festive season. These events are expected to bring families and the local community together and showcase the rich Indian cultural traditions associated with Diwali. Little India is one of Singapore’s most popular cultural districts and is known for its Indian shops, restaurants, temples and festive celebrations.
