The 17th season of the well-known television game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC) is scheduled to start on August 11 this year. The creators of the show revealed on July 17 that the new season will promote the aspirations and “Can Do” spirit of ordinary people. Sony Entertainment Television launched the new campaign for KBC Season 17 on July 17, highlighting the essence of modern India. Named ‘Jahaan Akal Hai, Wahaan Akad Hai’ (Where there is knowledge, there is pride), the campaign showcases how knowledge empowers people, fuels their ambitions, builds confidence, and fosters a bold “Can Do” attitude throughout the nation. Filmmaker Vikas Bahl directed and produced the campaign through his production company, Good Co. He mentioned that the campaign delivers a strong message: true pride comes from what one knows, not from material wealth. Bahl further explained the campaign’s message, stating, ” ‘KBC’ has always been more than just a quiz show; it’s a reflection of India’s evolving mindset. Today, India is ready to shine because knowledge provides them with courage, confidence, and a genuine sense of pride. And when you possess that kind of akal, a bit of akad or the confidence that follows is only natural. It’s not arrogance, but the belief that ‘Main bhi kar sakta hoon’ (I too can do it).” Veteran Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan, the host of the show, also shared his thoughts on the upcoming season. ” ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ has always been a tribute to knowledge and the quiet pride that accompanies it,” Bachchan stated. “This year’s campaign, ‘Jahan Akal Hai, Wahan Akad Hai’, beautifully encapsulates that feeling and inspires people to take pride in their intelligence and to stand tall with the confidence that comes from true understanding.
