The Indian Institute of Creative Technology (IICT) has partnered with Netflix and FICCI to assist students in India’s Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics, and Extended Reality (AVGC) sector. As part of this collaboration, Netflix will aid IICT in developing specialized curricula and will provide access to industry professionals who can impart real-world experience and best practices to students. This initiative will feature workshops, masterclasses, and guest lectures—conducted either directly by Netflix or through its partners—aimed at mentoring students, enhancing the academic environment, and equipping them with the skills necessary for success in the creative industry. Additionally, the partnership encompasses scholarships for selected students, identified in collaboration with IICT. Mahima Kaul, Director of Global Affairs at Netflix India, stated, “This collaboration with IICT and FICCI builds on our efforts to promote skill development and inclusive access in the media and entertainment sector. By nurturing world-class talent, IICT can serve as a catalyst for India’s digital economy—empowering youth and enhancing the nation’s creative capabilities. Together, we aim to equip aspiring creators with the tools and opportunities to drive innovation in entertainment.
