To manage the national emergency, the Trump administration has appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court, stating that we imposed tariffs against India. President Donald Trump has levied severe import tariffs against various countries around the world. After negotiations, he reduced the tariffs that had been significantly increased on China. Simultaneously, Trump, who had already imposed a 25 percent tariff on Indian goods, raised the total tariff to 50 percent by imposing an additional 25 percent tariff, citing the purchase of oil from Russia as the reason. The actions taken by President Trump are expected to impact imports to the United States, lead to an increase in domestic prices, and adversely affect the nation’s economy. In light of this, many American citizens have expressed strong opposition. In May of last year, the New York Trade Court issued orders against these tariff impositions. In response, the U.S. government filed an appeal in the Federal Appeals Court. The Appeals Court has now ruled that President Trump has imposed higher tariffs against every country in the world. To justify this, a national emergency has been declared. Most of Trump’s tax measures are deemed illegal. Therefore, the additional tax imposition must be removed. Tax imposition is fundamentally subject to the authority of Parliament. It should be noted that Parliament has only granted the President limited powers regarding taxation. However, the American Parliament has not conferred unlimited authority to the President. The court stated in its ruling that the American Parliament does not possess such an intention.
