The Louvre Museum, located in Paris, France, houses 33,000 historically significant artworks, sculptures, jewelry, and paintings, including the famous Mona Lisa. Over the years, many of these priceless items have been stolen, and several attempted thefts have also been reported.Recently, a robbery took place at the museum. The thieves, who arrived on a scooter, entered through an area under building maintenance. Using a hydraulic lift, they gained access to the museum and stole nine crowns and pieces of jewelry from the Apollo Courtyard, which were historically worn by French kings and queens. These items date back to the time of Napoleon.The thieves cut open the glass display cases containing the jewelry with a disk cutter and made off with the crowns and jewels. The entire robbery was completed in just seven minutes. France’s Interior Minister, Laurent Nunez, stated that the theft was well-planned.Following the incident, the Louvre Museum was closed yesterday. Previously, strict security measures were in place, but yesterday, visitors were not allowed inside.
