A divorce with a royal husband has been announced on Dubai princess’s Instagram account

It appears that the ruler of Dubai’s daughter has made her divorce public on social media, which is unusual for a princess in the United Arab Emirates. Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the daughter of UAE Prime Minister and ruler of Dubai, declared on her Instagram account that she was divorcing her fellow royal.

On Wednesday, 30-year-old Sheikha Mahra’s Instagram account declared, “I hereby declare our divorce.” “I separate and divorce you, I separate and divorce you. Be careful. The woman you divorced.”

The princess seemed to be bringing up the contentious triple divorce custom, which is practiced in some Muslim nations and involves a man divorcing his wife three times in order to do so swiftly. Some nations have outlawed the technique, and women don’t typically use it against their spouses. Mahra wed Sheikh Mana Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, another member of the royal family of Dubai, in an opulent ceremony that was documented in publications like Grazia and Harper’s Bazaar Arabia last year.

Not long after, they had a daughter. She has since deleted photos from her account that included her and her spouse. Sheikh Mana’s Instagram account also has no photos of her. The princess is well-known in the public and on social media. She frequently appears on the covers of local magazines and walks the red carpet in Dubai, which is uncommon for a female royal.

She shares pictures, her love of horses, her interests, and her charitable endeavors with her over 500,000 Instagram followers. Local media reports identify her mother as Greek national Zoe Grigorakos. Several Instagram users wondered if there had been any hacking of her account. Nevertheless, more than a day after the post was made, both the account and the post are still online. When contacted the media office of the Dubai government for a response, it was sent to the media office of Sheikha Mahra.

The husband of Mahra, Sheikh Mana, has not publicly commented on the Instagram photo, nor has the UAE government. Sheikh Mana has been contacted by CNN via his Instagram account for a response.
