Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who is recovering from a ‘muscle tear to the right rib cage’, took to his blog on Tuesday morning to share an update with his fans.
During the weekend, Bachchan said that he suffered injuries while shooting an action sequence on the sets of his upcoming movie ‘Project K’ in Hyderabad. He said that his “rib cartilage popped broke” and there is a “muscle tear to the right rib cage.”
Sharing an update on his health, the 80-year-old said that he was getting better “gradually” but it will take some time. He has been following the doctors’ orders “diligently” and ensuring complete bed rest.
The actor also confirmed that he has paused shooting for Nag Ashwin’s directorial, starring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, and other projects in his kitty till he completely recovers. ‘Project K’ will hit the theatres on January 12, 2024.
“I progress gradually .. it shall take time .. and what has been prescribed by the doctors is being followed diligently .. rest and strapped chest .. all work has stopped and will only begin once the condition improves and the medical gives an assurance,” he added.
The actor had revealed that he was in pain and was experiencing difficulty in movement and breathing. “.. yes painful .. on movement and breathing .. will take some weeks they say before some normalization will occur .. some medication is also for pain .. (sic)”
