The Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, which was involved in an accident in Gujarat, has suffered damage to its black box, resulting in difficulties in obtaining information regarding the cause of the aircraft accident. Consequently, the central government is set to make a decision about sending it to a research center in the United States.On the 12th of this month, the Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, which had departed from Ahmedabad Airport in Gujarat for London, was caught in an accident. A total of 241 individuals on board lost their lives, with only one British-Indian passenger surviving. The aircraft collided with a medical college hostel, leading to the deaths of 33 individuals, including medical students.The black box of the aircraft has been located and retrieved to determine the cause of the plane crash. It contains two devices known as the Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) and the Flight Data Recorder (FDR). The CVR device records the conversations that take place in the aircraft’s cockpit.

The FDR device logs a multitude of information, including the altitude at which the aircraft flew, its speed, and the manner in which the pilot operated the aircraft, for approximately 25 hours. If this information is obtained, the exact cause of the plane crash will be revealed.The black box of the Air India aircraft that was involved in the accident has been sent to the black box examination center in Delhi for analysis. This modern examination center, which was established at a cost of Rs. 9 crores, was inaugurated on April 9 of last year. However, due to damage to the aircraft’s black box, it has not been possible to retrieve the recorded data. Consequently, it is reported that the central government will soon make a decision regarding sending it to the examination center of the National Transportation Safety Board located in Washington, USA.
