The e-Aadhaar application is set to launch in India, allowing users to quickly update their date of birth, address, and phone number through an all-in-one app. The Government of India is in the process of creating a mobile application for Aadhaar users and holders. This application is being developed by the Unique Identification Authority of India. The primary function of the application appears to be the provision of services that enable users to update their personal information via the app, eliminating the need for physical visits to Aadhaar Seva Kendras. Users will be able to update various personal details online after the mobile application is launched, including their name, address, date of birth, and more. Although the application is still under development, it is expected to be launched very soon. The mobile application is intended to provide a streamlined and user-friendly method for updating Aadhaar information through a single digital interface. A government official has indicated that the mobile application is anticipated to be available by the end of this year.
This new Aadhaar mobile application will empower users to update essential personal information—such as their name, residential address, and birth date—directly from their smartphones. This digital solution is designed to reduce the reliance on in-person visits to enrollment centers. By incorporating Artificial Intelligence (AI) alongside Face ID technology, the app aims to offer secure and seamless digital Aadhaar services to users throughout India. This initiative by UIDAI seeks to simplify the update process, remove the necessity for extensive paperwork, reduce the risks of identity fraud, and expedite the entire procedure, thereby enhancing convenience for users.
