The final T20 match commenced today at 7 PM at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, where India, having won the toss, opted to bat first. This marks the highest score achieved by India during the powerplay in T20 matches. Sanju Samson delivered an impressive performance, scoring a half-century off just 22 balls, which stands as his fastest fifty. In the tenth over, he hit five sixes, amassing 30 runs off the bowling of Rishad Hossain alone. By the end of the tenth over, the Indian team had accumulated 152 runs for the loss of one wicket, with Sanju Samson’s contribution being particularly noteworthy. He was dismissed for 111 runs in the fourteenth over bowled by Mustafizur Rahman, having struck eight sixes in his innings of 47 balls. The Indian team set a new record by scoring 297 runs while losing six wickets in their 20 overs. Throughout the match, the Indian players collectively hit 22 sixes and 25 boundaries, totaling 47 boundaries. A remarkable achievement in T20 cricket has been established, as a total of 43 boundaries were struck in a single innings for the first time.
