Indian film producer Namit Malhotra’s company, DNEG, has achieved a remarkable milestone by winning its eighth Oscar in the Visual Effects category, recognized for its outstanding contributions to the film Dune: Part Two, featuring Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya. As a prominent player in the fields of visual effects, animation, and creative technology, DNEG has been instrumental in the production of numerous blockbuster films in Hollywood. The award was graciously accepted by DNEG’s VFX Supervisors Stephen James and Rhys Salcombe, alongside Production VFX Supervisor Paul Lambert and Special Effects Supervisor Gerd Nefzer. This victory represents DNEG’s eighth Oscar win since 2011, following previous accolades for Dune: Part One (2022), Tenet (2021), First Man (2019), Blade Runner 2049 (2018), Ex Machina (2016), Interstellar (2015), and Inception (2011). Namit Malhotra, who is also the founder of Prime Focus, is currently producing the highly anticipated film Ramayana, which is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and features Sai Pallavi in a leading role.
