A US-based crisis research organization has reported that about 375,000 Russian soldiers have been killed in the war against Ukraine. The report also estimates that around 140,000 people have died in Ukraine due to Russian attacks. The war, which began in 2022, has now entered its fourth year, and heavy casualties have been reported on both sides as of February 2026. According to the estimates, Russia has suffered more than 1.2 million total military losses, including those killed, injured, or missing, with over 325,000 believed dead. On the Ukrainian side, between 55,000 and 140,000 soldiers are estimated to have been killed, along with more than 15,000 civilians.
