Prashant Kishor Confirms He Won’t Contest in Bihar Elections, Lays Out Strategic Plan

Prashant Kishore, the head of the Jansuraj Party, has stated, “I will not contest in the upcoming Bihar Legislative Assembly elections. I will focus on party work.” The Bihar Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in two phases on November 6 and 11. Voting for 121 constituencies will take place in the first phase, and for 122 constituencies in the second phase. The main contenders in this election are the National Democratic Alliance led by BJP–JD(U) and the Mahagathbandhan coalition led by Rashtriya Janata Dal–Congress. This year, the Bihar elections are expected to be highly competitive. Prashant Kishor, who has entered the political arena as a party leader and served as the election strategist, heads the Jansuraj Party. He had previously indicated that he might contest from his home constituencies of Kargahar or Raghopur. Recently, the party released its list of candidates for the upcoming elections. In a subsequent interview, Kishor clarified that he will not be contesting himself but will focus on party responsibilities. He also stated that he will actively campaign in support of Jansuraj Party candidates across all constituencies.
