SK Prabhakar IAS has been appointed as the new chairman of the TNPSC.

Governor RN Ravi appointed SK Prabhakar IAS to the vacant post of TNPSC Chairman for a long time. He will be on duty for 6 years from the date of appointment.

In Tamil Nadu, most of the government department vacancies are filled by Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission known as TNPSC.

There is often a perception that it is difficult to crack these exams.

Exams are conducted and filled through various levels of government jobs in Tamil Nadu like Group 1, Group 2, 2A, Group 4, VAO, Group 3 to Group 8.

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission is a body consisting of 1 Chairman and 13 members.An IAS officer heads TNPSC to look after these tasks.

The post of chairman was vacant and had not been filled for a long time.

In this situation, SK Prabhakar IAS has been appointed as the New Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission.

He will serve for 6 years from the date of appointment. While 9 members were appointed last February, now the Chairman has also been appointed.

The governor has issued an order appointing Prabhakar IAS as the new chairman.
