Elon Musk’s satellite internet company, Starlink, is set to revolutionize digital connectivity in India by bringing affordable, high-speed satellite internet to even the most remote parts of the country. During an exclusive meeting with the India Global Forum (IGF) delegation at Starlink’s Austin headquarters, Musk shared his vision of connecting every corner of India and the world through seamless internet access. The discussion emphasized Starlink’s mission to make reliable connectivity accessible for all, breaking geographical barriers that limit digital growth.

This development follows a Letter of Intent (LoI) signed between Starlink and the Government of Maharashtra, making it the first Indian state to partner with the company for satellite-based internet deployment. The collaboration will focus on improving internet access for government offices, rural communities, and essential infrastructure. As part of the IGF USA 2025 initiative, the delegation also visited global tech leaders such as Tesla, Anthropic, and OpenAI to strengthen India’s role in the global innovation ecosystem. A photo shared by IGF showed Elon Musk with a ‘Ganesh Murti’, symbolizing cultural harmony and the growing bond between India and global innovators.
