Iran has reportedly shot down advanced F-35 stealth fighter jets, which are considered among the most powerful war aircraft in the world by the United States. The F-35 is known for its stealth technology, making it difficult to detect or attack. However, Iran’s air defense systems are said to have successfully targeted the jets by tracking their heat signals. This marks a major development, as the F-35 had long been seen as nearly impossible to shoot down. This comes despite earlier claims by the US and Israel that Iran’s air defense systems had been completely destroyed. The conflict between the US, Israel, and Iran has intensified over the past 20 days, with reports stating that around 1,444 Iranians have been killed and thousands injured in ongoing attacks. While the US and Israel claimed to have weakened Iran’s missile and defense capabilities, Iran has continued its counterattacks and reportedly downed two F-35 jets. One of the aircraft made an emergency landing in another West Asian country, while another was hit near Bandar Abbas. This incident has raised global attention, as about 15 countries use F-35 jets in their military. Each F-35 jet is extremely expensive, costing between ₹770 crore and ₹1,073 crore, with high operational costs for every mission.
