North Korea has warned that if its leader Kim Jong Un is harmed or killed, the country could automatically launch nuclear attacks against enemy nations. This system is reportedly called the “Dead Hand,” similar to a Cold War-era automatic nuclear response system first created by the Soviet Union in the 1980s. The system was designed to respond automatically if the country’s leadership was destroyed in a nuclear attack. Reports say North Korea has now developed a similar mechanism with modern technology. Security experts say North Korea recently changed its constitution and defense laws to strengthen its nuclear command system. According to these reports, if an attack threatens Kim Jong Un or the country’s leadership, the “Dead Hand” system could automatically trigger nuclear missile strikes. North Korea says the system was created due to growing global tensions, including conflicts involving the United States and Iran. Experts warn that this development is extremely dangerous because North Korea’s Hwasong missiles are believed to travel up to 15,000 kilometers, potentially threatening countries such as South Korea and even the United States.
