Mumbai Traffic Police have been alerted to a death threat directed at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, warning the BJP leader of potential murder “like Baba Siddique” if he does not resign from his position within ten days. This alarming message follows the recent assassination of Baba Siddique, a former minister and leader of the NCP (Ajit Pawar), who was shot in Bandra. The threat against the Chief Minister coincides with a series of death threats aimed at actor Salman Khan. The Mumbai Traffic Police control room received the threatening message via a WhatsApp helpline from an unidentified number last evening. The communication explicitly stated that if Yogi Adityanath failed to step down within the stipulated time frame, he would face a fate similar to that of Baba Siddique. In response, the Mumbai Police have initiated an investigation to identify the individual responsible for sending the message. This latest threat is part of a broader pattern of death threats that have emerged in recent weeks, predominantly targeting Salman Khan, who has been warned of assassination unless a ransom is paid.
Following a shooting incident outside the actor’s residence earlier this year, law enforcement has successfully apprehended several individuals linked to these threats, including a vegetable vendor from Jamshedpur and a tattoo artist from Noida, who are currently in transit remand and undergoing interrogation. One of the threatening messages identified Zeeshan Siddique, the MLA from Bandra and the son of Baba Siddique. The former minister was tragically shot near his son’s office on October 12, with the gang led by incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi claiming responsibility for the assassination. The deceased politician had a close relationship with Salman Khan, who has previously received death threats from the Bishnoi gang, allegedly linked to his involvement in the blackbuck hunting case in Rajasthan during the filming of “Hum Saath Saath Hain.” Additionally, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was implicated in the shooting incident that occurred outside Salman Khan’s residence in April. In response to these threats and the recent shooting, the actor’s security measures have been significantly enhanced.
