In the aftermath of the Ahmedabad plane crash, Tata Group, the parent company of Air India, will provide a financial assistance of ₹1 crore to the families of the deceased. Campbell Wilson, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company, has stated that they will extend full cooperation for the investigation. In a video shared on Air India’s official X page, it was confirmed, “We have verified that 241 passengers aboard the flight have lost their lives. Furthermore, we are deeply saddened by this loss. We are praying for the families of the affected individuals and their loved ones. Our parent company, Tata Group, has announced that it will provide one crore rupees or approximately 85,000 British pounds to the family of each deceased individual, as well as cover the medical expenses of the injured. The technical team is currently assisting at the site of the incident. We are concerned about the welfare of the medical students who were injured in the accident. During these challenging times, Air India has committed to providing comprehensive and uninterrupted support. I visited the location of the accident and was deeply pained to witness the tragic scenes. I met with government officials and assured them that we will fully cooperate with the personnel on the ground and the investigative team.We understand that more time is needed for the full investigation, and as such, we will ensure transparency. He remarked, “Air India will strive to do everything within its power to maintain the trust that has been entrusted to us.”
