On November 22, Times Higher Education (THE) unveiled the Interdisciplinary Science Rankings (ISR) for 2025, revealing that India has the highest representation among countries, with 65 universities included in the rankings. Nevertheless, India did not manage to place any institution within the top 10. The highest-ranked Indian university is Anna University, positioned at 42nd, followed by VIT University at 65th, SRM Institute of Science and Technology at 84th, KIIT University at 92nd, and Delhi University at 98th.Following Delhi University, Lovely Professional University is ranked 99th, Amity University (Noida) at 101, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences at 102, Jamia Millia Islamia at 103, and Jawaharlal Nehru University at 105. Additional universities that achieved rankings include Sharda University, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Panjab University, Chitkara University, Bharathiar University, and multiple campuses of Amity University, among others.
Notably, Singapore is the sole Asian country represented in the top 10, while Hong Kong and China also secured prominent positions within the top 20, with the University of Hong Kong at 13th and Fudan University at 16th, respectively. Asia leads in representation within the top 100, boasting 47 universities from 15 nations, and a total of 103 Asian institutions are featured in the top 200. India and Saudi Arabia each have six universities in the top 100, followed by Hong Kong and Japan, which each have five.In the global context, the United States continues to dominate the upper echelons of the rankings, with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) claiming the top position and Stanford University following closely in second place. Overall, the United States holds seven of the top 10 spots in this ranking.
