Ashok (Pat) Patnaik has formally announced his intention to run for a seat on the Cerritos City Council in the upcoming 2025 election. A dedicated member of the Cerritos community, Patnaik and his family have resided in the area for more than 25 years. With a robust background in public service, Patnaik has contributed to the city in various roles over a total of 14 years. His experience includes serving as Commissioner for Parks and Recreation, Commissioner for Economic Development, and as a member of both the Safety Committee and the Bond Measures team, in addition to participating in the Cerritos College Foundation recruitment efforts.

In his professional capacity, Patnaik works as a commercial banker with a focus on aiding small businesses. He possesses a degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA from Pepperdine University. Should he be elected, Patnaik intends to prioritize public safety through close collaboration with the local Sheriff’s station, enhance educational resources to foster student achievement, and continue improving services for senior citizens. He underscores his dedication to bipartisan leadership, which is grounded in ethics, transparency, and accountability.
