Brazilian tourist dies after falling from an Indonesian volcano.Brazilian woman remains trapped inside an active volcano in Indonesia, after she fell near Mount Rinjani’s crater lake over the weekend. In a social media update, the authorities of Mount Rinjani reported that on Saturday, they heard the cries for help from the 26-year-old. At that moment, she was safe, although she seemed to be in a state of shock, according to officials. Additionally, drone footage appeared to confirm her survival on Saturday, showing her seated and moving in grey soil, situated far below a hiking path. Nevertheless, later that same day, rescuers were unable to find her after descending 300 meters to the area where they believed Ms. Marins was located, and she did not respond when they called her name. On Sunday, drone footage indicated that she was no longer present at her previous location. Following a complicated rescue operation, teams ultimately reached her body on Tuesday, as stated by her family on social media.  However, in recent years, several individuals have lost their lives attempting to climb it, including a Malaysian tourist last month, as reported by the Reuters news agency. The family of Marins has voiced their concerns regarding the decision not to close the trail after her fall.The 3,726-meter volcano draws thousands of visitors annually.
