Chinese robotics company AgiBot has set a Guinness World Record after its humanoid robot, AgiBot A2, completed a 65-mile (106 km) walk without stopping. The robot started its journey on November 10 from Jinji Lake in Suzhou and reached Shanghai’s Bund on November 13. It covered a total of 106.286 km, earning the title of the “Longest journey walked by a humanoid robot.” The walk was done without powering off, made possible by its hot-swappable battery system. Standing 5.74 feet tall and weighing 55 kg, the A2 robot is equipped with AI technology that lets it understand text, audio, and visual input. AgiBot said the challenge proved the robot’s endurance, hardware strength, and balance, showing it is ready for commercial use. The A2 can also perform delicate tasks, such as threading a needle.
