After the establishment of The America Party, the value of shares in entrepreneur Elon Musk’s companies has begun to decline significantly.Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and a prominent businessman, announced the formation of the America Party on Independence Day (July 4) as an alternative to the Republican and Democratic parties in the United States. He officially declared the new party after a poll conducted on the X platform indicated that two-thirds of participants expressed their support for the formation of the new party. The objective of the American party, as stated by Elon Musk in his X post, is to restore the freedom of the American people. Following the differences in opinion that arose between Donald Trump, who has assumed the presidency for a second time, and Musk, he has engaged in these dramatic actions. Musk served as an advisor in the government performance improvement department during the Trump administration, where he undertook several significant initiatives.
Meanwhile, over time, a disagreement emerged between Trump and Elon Musk regarding American tax incentives and immigration legislation. This disagreement sparked controversy in the public domain, leading Musk to step away from that position. He has now also initiated a new party. In the United States, a two-party system has been in place for many years; however, a third party has now emerged. This development has confirmed Elon Musk’s significant involvement in politics. Following the announcement of the political party, shares of Elon Musk’s companies have experienced a decline. Tesla’s stock has fallen by as much as 6.8% as of Monday. This has resulted in a loss of up to $15.3 billion, which translates to approximately ₹1.3 lakh crore in Indian currency. This decline is viewed as the most substantial drop Musk has faced since distancing himself from Donald Trump. During the Trump administration, Musk was involved, and now, with the establishment of a private party, he has become increasingly engaged in political affairs this year, leading to a total decline of 27% in his shares thus far.
