Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan was sent back to jail yesterday after undergoing medical tests at a private hospital in Islamabad.Imran Khan, 73, is the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party and a former prime minister. He was arrested on August 5, 2023, following corruption cases and has been kept at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi for nearly three years.Reports recently said that Khan’s health had seriously deteriorated. The Pakistan Supreme Court had ordered that he be shifted to a private hospital in Islamabad and undergo medical tests within 48 hours.Following the court’s order, Imran Khan was taken from Adiala Jail to Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad around midnight the day before yesterday under heavy security. A team of specialist doctors conducted several medical tests on him.After the medical examinations were completed, Khan was brought back to Adiala Jail and placed in custody again yesterday.
