The Indian American Impact Fund has announced its latest endorsements for the upcoming 2025 election cycle, supporting candidates in significant local and statewide contests throughout the United States. Chintan Patel, the executive director of the PAC, highlighted the critical nature of these elections, noting their substantial impact on communities. He stated, “The local and statewide elections occurring nationwide this year will not only determine our future but will also significantly affect our everyday lives.”Among the newly endorsed candidates are Mussab Ali for Mayor of Jersey City, Dini Ajmani for Mayor of Hoboken, Shashi Sinha for Mayor of Rochester, Balvir Singh for New Jersey’s State House District 7, Ajmeri Hoque for Franklin County Municipal Court in Ohio, Aishwarya Balakrishna for Naperville Park District Commissioner in Illinois, and Anant Nambiar for Westchester County Legislator in New York.This announcement comes on the heels of Impact’s previous endorsement of Ghazala Hashmi, who is currently campaigning for the position of Lieutenant Governor in Virginia. Since its inception in 2016, the Impact Fund has supported 198 candidates across the nation and has raised over $20 million for various initiatives, including campaigns, voter outreach, and policy advocacy. The organization attributes its success to enhancing the representation of South Asian American voices in U.S. politics and fostering significant change within communities nationwide.
