Rahul Gandhi’s First US Visit as Opposition Leader

Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, will make a trip to the United States of America from September 8 to 10.

During his quick visit, he will participate in a various of events throughout Washington, DC and Dallas.

Which including an important event at the University of Texas.

Sam Pitroda, Chairman of the Indian Overseas Congress, explained about the details about the visit.

This is Rahul Gandhi’s first visit to the United States since becoming the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha.

As stated by Pitroda, the Indian diaspora, diplomats, academics, and business leaders are eager to meet and communicate with Rahul Gandhi.

Gandhi’s visit will be short, but filled with appointments over three days.
Rahul Gandhi will make its way in Dallas on September 8.

During his trip, he will be participating in communicates with University of Texas students, local academics, and community leaders.

In addition, a major community gathering is scheduled, accompanied by meetings with technologists and a supper with important Dallas leaders.

On September 9 and 10, Gandhi will continue his tour to Washington, DC, where he will engage in similar interactions.

The engagements which include meetings with think tanks, members of the national Press club members and others.

Pitroda emphasized that there is significant interest in the governance of Congress-led states, making the discussions highly anticipated.

Rahul Gandhi won two Lok Sabha seats recently in constituency of Rae Bareli and Wayanad.

However, he resigned from his Wayanad seat, which his sister, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, expected to contest in a by election.

Earlier in June, the Congress Working Committee approved Rahul Gandhi as the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha.
