Following such cases, the US Embassy stated that committing crimes such as assault, theft, or burglary in the United States can result in serious legal consequences, including visa cancellation and ineligibility for future US visas. It emphasized that the country upholds law and order and expects all foreign visitors to strictly follow its laws.
