A tense situation has arisen between Israel and Hezbollah, prompting reports that residents in Lebanon have begun receiving communications from the Israeli military, advising them to evacuate areas identified as Hezbollah strongholds. According to Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency (NNA), individuals in Beirut and other regions have received phone alerts, which are characterized as part of a “psychological war” strategy employed by Israel. These messages were sent through both landline and mobile devices, frequently from unidentified numbers. Some residents experienced direct calls featuring recorded warnings, while others received text messages encouraging them to maintain a safe distance from locations controlled by Hezbollah. In a video shared on X, Israeli army spokesperson Daniel Hagari urged the inhabitants of Lebanese villages to pay close attention to the warnings issued by the Israeli military and to comply with them. Concurrently, Lebanese aviation authorities have implemented a ban on travelers carrying pagers and walkie-talkies while boarding flights or checking luggage. As of now, no other countries have enacted similar measures, and travelers can anticipate a standard experience when navigating airport security.
