This event marks ISRO’s 100th rocket mission and the inaugural launch under the leadership of the newly appointed Chairman, V Narayanan. Mr. Narayanan emphasized the significance of the mission, stating that the satellite was “accurately placed into the designated Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO).” The GSLV-F15 represents the 17th flight of India’s Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle and the 11th mission utilizing an indigenous cryogenic stage. Furthermore, it is the 8th operational flight employing this technology and the 100th launch conducted from Sriharikota.
