News Corp, under the leadership of Rupert Murdoch, has declared that Lavanya Chandrashekar will take over the role of Chief Financial Officer from Susan Panuccio, starting January 1, 2025. Lavanya Chandrashekar comes with nearly three decades of expertise in international finance and investor relations, having occupied senior roles at prominent consumer-oriented firms, including Procter & Gamble, Mondelēz, and most recently, Diageo, where she held the position of CFO from 2021 until September 2024. Her compensation package at News Corp will feature an annual base salary of $1.4 million, a performance-based annual bonus with a target of $2.5 million, and a long-term equity incentive with a target grant date value of $2.6 million, as outlined in a regulatory filing. Furthermore, she will be awarded a one-time equity bonus with a target grant date value of $2.6 million, along with a $500,000 payment to facilitate her relocation to the New York City metropolitan area.
