Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new Prime Minister’s Office building, named “Seva Teerth,” along with Kartavya Bhavan 1 and Kartavya Bhavan 2 in New Delhi. The new PMO complex has been named “Seva Teerth,” which means a place of service, highlighting the government’s focus on public service. Kartavya Bhavan, which means “duty building,” will function as the central secretariat of the Union government. Kartavya Bhavan 1 and 2 will house several key ministries, including Law, Defence, Finance, Health, Agriculture, and other important departments. Bringing these ministries together in one modern complex is expected to improve coordination, speed up decision-making, and enhance administrative efficiency. The new buildings are part of the Central Vista redevelopment project in New Delhi, which aims to modernize government infrastructure. The project includes new and upgraded offices for various ministries, improved facilities for government staff, and better use of space and technology. Officials said the new complexes are equipped with modern security systems, digital infrastructure, and eco-friendly features. During the inauguration, Prime Minister Modi said the new buildings reflect India’s progress and commitment to efficient governance. He stated that the modern infrastructure will help government departments work more effectively and serve citizens better. The inauguration marks another key step in the government’s broader plan to transform and modernize the national capital’s administrative framework.
