She had won a bronze medal in the women’s 100-meter (T35) earlier on August 30.set an additional record yesterday.
As of right now, here holds the second bronze medal in the T35 200m event.
With a time of 30.01 seconds, Indian athlete Preethi Pal placed third in the 200-meter running event.
The gold medal was won by the Chinese player.
Notably, this is India’s first-ever medal in the T35 women’s 200-meter event.
At the Paris 2024 Paralympics, Preethi’s bronze medal on Sunday was India’s sixth medal as a whole.
In the para-shooting event, India won the remaining four medals.
Although in the SH1 class, Avani Lekhara and Mona Agarwal took first and third place in the 10m air rifle shooting respectively.
Already, Silver and bronze went to Manish Narwal (men’s 10m air pistol SH1) and Rubina Francis (women’s 10m air pistol SH1), respectively.
Silver was also won by Nishad Kumar of India in the men’s high jump.
Altogether, India ranked 27th in the medal list with a total of 7 medals from the present Paralympic games, including 1 gold, 2 silver, and 4 bronze.
First prize goes to China with 71 medals, Great Britain with 43, and the USA with 27 in third place.
