Situated in the vibrant Kenton Park Parade in north-west London, this new establishment features a seating capacity of 160 and aims to infuse the area with a lively atmosphere, complete with a state-of-the-art kitchen, an elegant and spacious interior, and a sophisticated cocktail and fresh juice bar. An official announcement revealed that more than half a million pounds has been invested in this venue, reinforcing Saravanaa Bhavan’s commitment to delivering authentic South Indian vegetarian cuisine worldwide. The inauguration event was graced by P.R. Shivakumaar.
The Chairman and Managing Director of Saravanaa Bhavan, who set an optimistic tone for this promising culinary venture. Vicky and Reka, the official franchise partners, are leading the UK operations, having been instrumental in the brand’s expansion across the UK for over twenty years. From inception to realization, the hands-on methodology and steadfast vision of the management transformed a year-long construction endeavor into a vibrant culinary destination, complemented by flourishing establishments in Rayners Lane (Harrow), Southall, Ilford, and East Ham, as stated by the management. Saravanaa Bhavan now caters to over 150,000 patrons each month throughout the UK, with aspirations to double this figure, aiming to establish Saravanaa Bhavan as the leading name in Indian vegetarian cuisine within Britain.
The recent grand opening of Saravanaa Bhavan Kenton was a spectacular event, graced by local dignitaries, community leaders, business representatives, and devoted patrons. Among the distinguished attendees were Councillors Chetna Halai, Suresh Krishna, and Sasikala Suresh, who participated in the festivities. The occasion was enlivened by captivating performances, including traditional Bharatanatyam dances, rhythmic tabla by Himmet Percussion, and a moving rendition by Kenton’s own Sonna Rele, renowned for her contribution to Disney’s Cinderella theme song, “Strong.”After the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, the ribbon-cutting, and a series of speeches, the restaurant welcomed guests, who quickly filled the venue to capacity. Attendees enjoyed an array of freshly prepared dishes that highlighted Saravanaa Bhavan’s celebrated menu, featuring signature items such as masala dosa, parotta, biryani, and, notably, filter coffee.
