Columbus, Ohio (WSYX) Crime police in Columbus have identified two Tamil people found dead on the city’s north side on Tuesday.
After receiving a report from a neighbor worried about their left alone kids.
Police rushed to the 2600 block of Lauffer Ravines Drive for a “well-being check” shortly before 5:30 p.m.
When cops arrived, they discovered two people had died. Officers confirms that both victims were in their 30s.
Police said Mr. Balasubramanian Kathavarayan shot and killed Ms. Sowmya Balasubramanian before turning the gun on himself.Authorities categorized the incident as a murder-suicide.
Police reported there was no record of domestic violence at the spot. Franklin County Children’s Services acquired protection of the kids. Police said the person who died were the children’s parents.
Neighbors in the apartment complex stated it’s a friendly neighborhood where no one heard any gunshots during the incident.
Women who has lived in the apartment complex for more than a decade. She told that she had never seen an incident like this before, and that the community gathered together to make sure the children’s safety and happiness.
FCCS seeks to find relatives or close family friends with whom to temporarily keep the children.
