Diwali At Times Square festival was conceptualized in 2013 with a strong belief of showcasing India’s rich art, culture, heritage and diversity through music, dance, food and entertainment.
This year AR Helping Hands in association with Diwali At Times Square celebrated the festival of Diwali on October 15th 2022 with a plethora of activities like –
– Diwali Bazar of unique vendors like Northwell Health, State Bank of India, Nanak Foods, ShopRite, Quicklly, American Airlines, GEICO | Technology Solutions, Northlandz, Nazranaa, Hindu American Foundation (HAF), India at Times Square, Eye Foundation of America, House of Spices India, Premium Sweets, Save Soil, Sri Sri, Simran Seth, Vegan Vision, IM of the Saree
– Colors of India showcase : dance and musical performances from all different regions of India with 150+ performers. Also Proudly celebrated Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav with 60 performers from different states of India by Shiamak Davar International, Arya Dance Academy, Masala Bhangra, Prashant Shah, Shehnaaz Jagasia, DJ USA, DJ Sharad, Premier Drummers, Heeray – Gurleena, DanceX studio
– Diya(lamp) lighting ceremony with the countdown on the tallest Times Square Ball Drop Tower Billboard inaugurated by NY City Mayor Eric Adams.
– Light-up Times Square Concert : iconic performances from national and international sensations jay sean, Arjun Coomaraswamy, Hrishi, Kiran and Nivi, Sparsh Shah, Rimi Nique
It was truly a one of a kind festival which was enjoyed by people of all ages and walks of life.I want to extend to all partners , supporters, well wishers and the numerous hands which worked day and night in making DATS a success this year.
