US President Donald Trump has announced that the United States will impose a permanent ban on migrants from Third World countries. His decision follows a shooting near a metro station close to the White House, where an Afghan youth killed one American soldier and injured another. After the attack, the US immediately stopped visa processing for Afghan citizens. Trump claimed the attacker had entered the country in 2021 under President Joe Biden’s administration without proper screening, which he says allowed unsafe individuals to enter the US.
Trump also said he plans to reverse Biden’s immigration policies, claiming that hundreds of thousands of migrants were let into the country. He stated that anyone who does not contribute to or respect America will be removed and that government benefits given to non-Americans will be stopped. The new policy aims to permanently block migrants from developing nations across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Countries like Afghanistan, Iran, Myanmar, Congo, Cuba, Eritrea, Haiti, Venezuela, Somalia, and Sudan fall under this category.
