U.S. President Donald Trump has clearly stated that America will not remove any economic sanctions on Iran, even if Iran agrees to hand over its stockpile of enriched uranium. His statement comes at a time when serious peace talks are taking place between the two countries. Experts say this shows that the United States is still maintaining a strict foreign policy approach toward Iran and is not ready to soften its stand during the negotiations. When asked whether Iran would receive any relief from economic sanctions in exchange for nuclear concessions, Trump strongly rejected the idea. He said there would be “no sanctions relief at all” and confirmed that Iran would still hand over its enriched uranium without getting any economic benefits in return. Speaking later during a White House cabinet meeting, Trump said Iran is eager to reach an agreement, but it has not yet met America’s expectations. He added that the current negotiations are not fully satisfactory.

Trump also warned that if diplomacy fails, the United States may consider military action to resolve the issue. Meanwhile, Iranian state television reported that a new draft agreement had been prepared. According to the report, Iran planned to restore commercial shipping traffic in the Strait of Hormuz to normal levels within 30 days. In return, the United States would reduce its naval blockade and military presence in the region. However, the White House quickly denied the report and called it completely false. At the same time, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that talks with Iran are progressing well. Because of this, many observers expect a final decision on the issue in the coming days.
