Andrews expressed satisfaction with the progress in bilateral defense trade, noting the involvement of various entities from small startups to established defense public sector undertakings and the growing private defense sector. The United States stands as one of the largest international exhibitors at Aero India 2025, showcasing prominent American aerospace and defense companies that present next-generation aircraft, advanced avionics, unmanned systems, space technologies, and innovative defense solutions. During the event, representatives from the US government and industry will focus on promoting technology sharing, joint ventures, and industrial partnerships that bolster the US-India Major Defense Partnership. It is noteworthy that President Donald Trump has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to increase India’s procurement of security equipment from the United States, citing concerns over the existing trade imbalance.
