Skyroot Aerospace, one of India’s leading private space technology companies based in Hyderabad, has successfully developed its first full-scale orbital launch vehicle, Vikram-1, after the success of its Vikram-S mission. The company aims to strengthen India’s growing private space sector with this next-generation rocket.Skyroot Aerospace has announced that the maiden test launch of Vikram-1 is scheduled to take place during a launch window between July 12 and August 4. The rocket will be launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.The company said the final launch date will be decided based on several important factors. These include the successful completion of rocket integration and final testing at the launch pad, suitable weather conditions, safety clearances, and all required launch approvals.The Vikram-1 mission is expected to be a major milestone for Skyroot Aerospace and India’s private space industry, as it marks the company’s first attempt to place satellites into orbit using its own orbital launch vehicle.
