Vinesh Phogat reached to the finals of women’s wrestling in the 50 kg division at the Olympics.
However, on the day of the final, Vinesh phogat was disqualified because She was 100 grams overweight when measured.
India was waiting for Phogat to win the gold medal after defeating Japan’s Susaki, who had won 82 consecutive matches.
Event though at the last minute, she was disqualified without even receiving a silver medal, which was shock for Indian supporters.
Following the disqualification , even she went to the Sports Tribunal, but they refused to give the silver medal.
Vinesh Phogat arrived in Delhi airport this morning from Paris. Fans welcomed her joyously at the Delhi airport.
