The official advisory committee has announced that a discussion on Operation Sindoor will take place next week for 16 hours in the Lok Sabha and 9 hours in the Rajya Sabha. The monsoon session of Parliament commenced yesterday. As soon as the Lok Sabha convened, condolences were expressed for those who lost their lives in the attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, and in the Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad. Following this, members of the opposition raised their voices demanding a debate on Operation Sindoor in the Lok Sabha. This led to significant unrest in the assembly. “Members of Parliament must maintain order. We can discuss Operation Sindoor after the question hour,” stated the leader Om Birla. The opposition members of Parliament refused to accept this and continued to engage in protests. Following this, the session was adjourned until 12 noon. When they reconvened, the opposition members reiterated their demands with slogans. At that moment, the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, mentioned, “The Lok Sabha Business Advisory Committee will meet at 2:30 PM. A decision regarding the discussion on Operation Sindoor will be made in this meeting.” However, the opposition party members continued to chant slogans. Following this, the assembly was adjourned until 2 PM. When the public gathered in the afternoon, the opposition parties again raised their slogans. As a result, the assembly was adjourned until 4 PM. In the evening, when the public gathered again, the same situation persisted. Subsequently, the assembly was adjourned for the entire day.
