The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has warned that it will launch another protest if the Union Government does not withdraw all FIRs filed against protesters.Following this warning, security has been significantly increased at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. A large number of police personnel and paramilitary forces have been deployed in the area. Authorities have also welded together iron barricades to prevent protesters from removing them during future demonstrations.According to reports, the barricades have been permanently joined together to strengthen security and stop any attempts to break through them during protests.CJP has accused the Union Government of breaking its promise not to take legal action against protesters. The party also claimed that hundreds of students have been arrested in BJP-ruled states.CJP spokesperson Ashutosh Ranga alleged that the government failed to honour its assurance and warned that the party would return to the streets if the cases against protesters are not withdrawn. In response, security arrangements at Jantar Mantar have been further strengthened.
