Iran has assured India that it will help Indian ships safely pass through the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important sea routes for oil transport. Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said the country is also ready to restart oil sales to India. The assurance was given after the BRICS meeting held in Delhi. Speaking after the summit, Abbas Araghchi said Iran values its relationship with India and is willing to strengthen energy cooperation between the two countries.
