Santra Saju, a 22-year-old student from Kerala, was studying at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. Recently, authorities confirmed the discovery of a body in a river near Newbridge, close to Edinburgh, and while formal identification is pending, her family has been notified. Police Scotland indicated that the circumstances surrounding her death do not appear to be suspicious. Saju was last seen on December 6 at an Asda supermarket in Almondvale, Livingston, and an urgent appeal for information regarding her whereabouts was issued, detailing her physical description as approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, of Indian descent, with a slim build and short black hair. Extensive efforts have been made to locate her, as her friends and family expressed deep concern over her unexpected disappearance, which they described as uncharacteristic of her behavior, according to Inspector Alison Lawrie from Corstorphine Police Station.
