A wooden cargo boat carrying goods caught fire and capsized near the Strait of Hormuz two days ago. There were 18 Indian sailors on board at the time of the accident. Sadly, one Indian crew member lost his life in the incident. Four injured sailors are currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Dubai, while the remaining 17 crew members were rescued safely. According to government sources, officials from the Indian Embassy in Dubai met the rescued sailors and checked on their condition. The embassy is also in contact with the boat owner and is providing all necessary support and assistance to the affected Indian sailors and their families.
