India has made considerable advancements in its nuclear arsenal, thereby increasing the disparity with Pakistan. The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) has reported that India is persistently augmenting its nuclear capabilities. In 2024, India possessed 172 nuclear weapons, and this number is projected to rise to 180 this year. Furthermore, India has achieved notable advancements in the development of sophisticated nuclear delivery systems and is actively working on new variants of these systems. Consequently, India maintains a superior position in nuclear weapons capability relative to Pakistan, which currently has 170 nuclear weapons. In contrast, China possesses 600 nuclear weapons and has been producing 100 additional weapons each year since 2023. Recently, there was a confrontation between India and Pakistan, both of which have nuclear capabilities. In this context, the escalating nuclear arsenals of these neighboring nations have raised alarms among the global community. The nine countries that possess nuclear weapons include the United States, Russia, Britain, France, China, India, Pakistan, North Korea, and Israel. All of these nations are consistently investing substantial resources into expanding their nuclear arsenals and integrating new technologies. This situation has been highlighted in various discussions.
