From the following Independence Day, daily greetings in Haryana schools will begin to take on a patriotic flavor.
Students will say “Jai Hind” instead of “Good Morning” to each other and their teachers.
It is routine for students to greet their teachers with “GOOD MORNING” when they enter their classes.
The government has now encouraged that the greeting changes to “Jai Hind” instead of “GOOD MORNING, GOOD AFTERNOON”.
The directorate of school education gave orders all education institutions.
Educational officers at the district and block levels, principals, and headmasters to replace “Good Morning” with “Jai Hind” from August 15.
The state government has chosen to replace the greeting to develop “a strong feeling of patriotism and national pride” in students.
According to the department of education, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose created and spread the slogan “JAI HIND”, when he formed the Azad Hind Fauj to fight against British rule.
Following Independence, the term was adopted as a greet by the country’s military forces, symbolizing their continuous devotion to the nation’s sovereignty and security.
Hereafter no more Good morning then, it is “JAI HIND”!
