Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Elon Musk, the head of DOGE, engaged in discussions regarding potential collaboration between India and the United States in the fields of technology and innovation, amid ongoing trade negotiations between the two countries. In a recent post on social media, Modi shared that he and Musk, who leads Tesla, SpaceX, and X, revisited discussions from their previous meeting in Washington, emphasizing the “immense potential” for collaborative ventures. The BBC highlighted that this phone conversation took place just before Vice-President JD Vance’s forthcoming visit to India. Musk’s companies are actively seeking to establish a presence in the Indian market; Starlink has recently formed partnerships with major Indian telecom companies to launch satellite internet services and is currently awaiting regulatory approval. Additionally, Tesla has started the recruitment process for various positions in Delhi and Mumbai.
