Neeraj Chopra made history by becoming the first Indian to win several medals in athletics at the Olympic Games since independence.

Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem created history with a remarkable 92.97m throw, winning the gold medal and breaking the Olympic record.

Arshad recorded another throw of 91.79m, making him the first athlete in Olympic history to have two throws over 90m. Arshad’s medal marks Pakistan’s first Gold medal result since 1992.
